1. Get clear about what you want. Can not say clearly what you want if not that is true. Before approaching your partner with an application, think and write in a concise sentence.

2. Create a good atmosphere. If you want to call it is difficult for you, do not do it without preparation. Choose a time when you and your partner have the time and was invited to sit down and talk with you.

3. Just what you want. Do not begin your statement with a lot of disclaimers - that make the other person feel accused of something. Just ask, politely, for what you want or need.

4. Be willing to accept a "no". Remember, if you can not accept a no answer, then you are making a claim, not a request to take a backup solution. Finding a way to get what you want for yourself, even if the other person is not cooperating.

5. Listen politely to the response of your partner. If your partner says yes, no, or something in between, listen carefully to what he or she says. Do not get caught up in all the worry and noise inside your head - pay attention. What you need to know the answer.

How to make your relationship better? Taking these steps, you will help your relationship most of the time. And even when you do not, you have a backup plan, so you really can not lose.
